SOCO wins ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Award

SOCO International plc ("SOCO" or "the Company")

SOCO is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Award for Best Practice Disclosure on Director Development, Board Evaluation and Succession Planning.

The awards are a new initiative launched by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in partnership with Hermes Equity Ownership Services to address the demand for greater emphasis to be placed on governance as a fundamentally important aspect of a company’s operations.

The awards involve a rigorous process of evaluation of the disclosure performance of all companies in the FTSE 350 with the aim of identifying and rewarding high standards of disclosure, encouraging improvements both in the disclosure process and in governance performance itself. The awards have the backing of the Government, the Financial Reporting Council, the Association of British Insurers, the Confederation of British Industry, Sir David Walker and the Financial Times.
